The boys and girls basketball teams travelled to Shannon last week to take part in the Marion Keane competition. Both teams played against St. Tola's, St. Conaire's, Newmarket and Gaelscoil Donncha Rua. The boys and girls won all of their games and they are all through to the next stage of the competition. Congrats to everyone involved! The 6th classes took part in a workshop with Clare County Council. The council are preparing a vision for the future of Sixmilebridge Town Centre and they wanted to hear the opinions of students in 6th class. Sixmilebridge has been chosen as the first town in Clare under the first phase of the National Town Centre First initiative. The children worked in groups to draw a map of the town with important places and ideas that stand out for them. They discussed what they liked and didn't like about Sixmilebridge. Finally, everyone voted for one thing they would like to see in Sixmilebridge in the future.
Thank you to everyone who brought in a shoebox for Team Hope's Shoebox Appeal. We collected 135 boxes this year.
The camogie team from 5th and 6th classes travelled to Mungret to compete in the Laurel Hill Primary School Blitz. Everyone had a great day out. We got our first piece of silverware for 2022! Well done to all the girls involved.
There was great excitement in 6th class today when our hoodies arrived. Everyone was delighted with them!
