Well done to all pupils who participated in the Cross Country Inter-Schools Championship Finals this week. The races took place at the Lees Road Sports Complex in Ennis.
In the U. 8 Boys' Competition the school was represented by Michael Morey (4th place overall & inter-provincial team medal), John Paul O' Donoghue and Matthew O' Halloran.
Rosie Mai Ashley took part in the Girls' Final and in the over 10 Competition Leon Kelly (10th place overall and inter-provincial medal) and Dylan Downes (inter-provincial medal) also did very well.
Well done everyone and to all other pupils who participated in the earlier stage of the inter-schools cross country heats. Thirty three athletes competed in the East Clare Cross Country Finals at Lees Road, Ennis. Ms. Collins, Ms. Tuohy and Ms. Shalloo were very proud of all their athletes. They reported that a wonderful day was had; the sun shone brightly, the children behaved superbly and they made a great name for themselves on the athletics field. In total seven medals were brought back to our school and everybody involved really enjoyed the day!
